G5 Evo is a highly technical water-repellent mountaineering boot for high-altitude mountaineering, ice climbing and use in cold areas. Quick and easy donning thanks to the lower lacing with BOA Fit System outside the gaiter. The system allows secure closure even with gloves and without having to open the zipper. The Power-Strap Velcro on the upper part of the shaft also allows a safe and accurate closure and, in combination with the adjustable protective collar, avoids the penetration of snow and ice. Like all the other products in La Sportiva’s High Mountain line, the G5 Evo features quick-drying materials that promote long-lasting use. Maximum weather protection thanks to the water-repellent gaiter with thermo-welded zipper and internal welded seams with innovative UltraSonic Welding technology, which allows seamless connection of materials, making the shoe additionally water-repellent. Volume and weight are minimized: the protective rim is made of ultra-light and abrasion-resistant PU TechLite material. The midsole is made of insulating Honey-Comb-Tech carbon with 3 mm thickness. The thermal performance is further enhanced by the GORE-TEX INFINIUM THERMIUM Insulation Technology membrane. This membrane wraps the upper from the front, including midsole for better thermal performance on the top even if you do not move much. G5 EVO combines the thermal insulation properties of a double-shell shoe with the lightness and reduced volume of a single-shell shoe. Gimme Five, G5.
